The Family Cruise

We had a wonderful time cruisin' with the family in the Western Caribbean right before Thanksgiving. We traveled to the Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Belize and Honduras. There were 12 of us and it was a ton of fun. I took entirely too many pictures to post, but here's some highlights. And there's too many of those.
LEW staring at the water during our first day at sea.

Sunset from our balcony.

LEW and Daddy checking out the water at Seven Mile Beach in the Caymans.

Napping after a day touring.

Posing with our tourguide Raul during a daytrip to the Mayan ruins of Tulum.

The stairs down to the beach at Tulum.

The beach at Tulum and definitely somewhere I'd like to be this week.

We don't think this qualifies as cruelty to animals just yet.

An interesting street sign in Belize.

In Belize posing with our tourguide Jimmy.

LEW and Daddy sipping on a tasty beverage at Momasita's...still Belize.

Checking out the kiddie pool.

Napping under the canopy on the Lido deck.

On the way to Tabyana Beach on the island of Roatan in Honduras.

The start of the very elaborate sand castle that Shawn and AJ built.

Sipping on a pina colada from the bar.

LEW and Uncle D laughing about the decor in the hallway.

LEW and Grandpa playing.

Each night at dinner there was a show. LEW enjoyed seeing everyone dance and watch all the lights in the ceiling light up.

Here's the ceiling, see how subdued it is.

Sooz and LEW's great-grandmother Dot at dinner - the redheads.

Auntie J and LEW getting money from Grandpa to go into the casino.

Grandma and LEW dancing at our last night at dinner.

LEW tasting the wonders of an ice cream cone (without any ice cream.)

Birthday Boy!

Thursday is our favorite day of the week and this Thursday is even better because it's T.Mo.'s birthday! LEW says, "Happy birthday" and she thinks after all you've been through this past year you'll be BFF. She's still having a hard time grasping how long a year is, but she's looking forward to fun adventures in the coming "years"!

Hanging out at the pool. T already getting girls attention with his cool accessories. LEW asks, "Are those real car keys?" T answers, "You know it."

Heading to Old Town. LEW breaking the stay on your side of the stroller rule.

T and LEW talk about how cool their parents are during a pool party.

Birthday Girl

Bella turned two today. We took her to the Ice Capades and she had a snow cone.

Just kidding, she did want to go to the Ice Capades but they weren't in town.

Tiny Bella pictures.

Big day in the Whitman household today - LEW walked all around the living room.

According to the Babycenter updates that I receive, "Most babies take their first steps sometime between 9 and 12 months and are walking well by the time they're 14 or 15 months old. Don't worry if your child takes a little longer, though. Many perfectly normal children don't walk until they're 16 or 17 months old." LEW's in the perfectly normal late range (will be 16 months on Sunday) and it's fun to see how excited she is about her new skill.

You'll have to tilt your head to watch b/c I can't figure out how to rotate videos.

Even Happier Halloween

So I posted about LEW's Halloween parade on Friday, which technically took place on Wednesday.

On Friday, we took some pictures of LEW in her fun Halloween outfit from Grams and let her pass out candy with the neighbors to the 3 trick or treaters in the neighborhood.

Shawn and I headed out for the highlight of the weekend -- to celebrate Susie and AJ's engagement! Woo-hoo!

On Saturday, we met up folks and went to the zoo.

LEW enjoying her afternoon snack.

Her shirt says, "My magical power is being cute."

Susie was surprised to see everyone at the bar!

Best wishes on your engagement! Can't wait to continue the celebration with you both!

LEW wasn't totally into hanging out at the zoo at first.

AJ provided some needed elevation to see over the foliage.

Felix and Lauren checking each other out in front of the goat pen.

Happy Halloween

LEW is in the Turtles class and all of the kids were dressed up when we arrived at the center on Wednesday afternoon. There was a lion, a tiger, a duck, a fisherman and a skeleton.

Lauren was being a little shy...

And slightly dramatic about being in the parade...

Until she got to sit up front in the buggy with her friend the lion.

And then she clapped and kicked and had her hands up during the whole parade.
