Figs!!

We have a fig tree in our yard and we are loving the bounty of figs that it produces!

First trip to the dentist

Lauren visited the dentist for the first time in August. I love going to the dentist, so I'm hoping that Lauren digs it too. The hygienist also has a three year old, so he used various tools to "count" her teeth. It was a pretty painless trip.

The girls had a photo shoot over the weekend and the photographer shared a few pictures with us from the session. Can't wait to see more!

LEW and T met up at the McGihon's pool and Mr. Charlie had a few fishing poles so the kids could practice casting and reeling in their fish.

Fond Farewell

We've had some changes in the Whitman household!

Shawn switched jobs, which means leaving his long tenure in the Senate. Senator Barrasso gave a great floor speech about him one evening. The speech starts at 8:21 (sort of) until Senator McCain breaks in for a moment (didn't know he knew Shawn so well!) and then picks up again at about 8:23.

We enjoyed having baby foxes (or more precisely kits) in our backyard this spring. There were 7 total and they were very entertaining.

The company of older men

So Katherine has a couple of older men in her life. She recently had the pleasure of meeting baby T when he was visiting from the west coast. Aunt Jennie took care of the intros...

Katherine meets family and friends

We've had lots of visitors come through to meet Katherine. We were spoiled when Auntie Jen and Uncle David rolled in because they have a great camera and can edit video as well. Check out these pictures and the accompanying video that David just threw together!

Andy and Cyndi stopped by. We don't see them often enough, but enjoyed catching up for a little while.

We didn't take enough pictures when Gramma and Papa were here - because we put them to work! Didn't feel like much of a break for Gramma, but we sure enjoyed having her here.

When Uncle Brian came we took a day trip to visit our family friends the Broderick's in St. Mary's County, MD.

We were a little anxious to leave the ease of having experts to talk to at the hospital. Basically because we had forgotten how much we had forgotten about having a newborn around.

Buckled up for the slow journey home. Good thing it's about a 3 minute drive to our house.
